I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
